Who can benefit from the Gut Barrier panel?
Increased intestinal permeability, also known as “leaky gut syndrome,” can manifest with several symptoms. The main symptoms associated with increased intestinal permeability include:
- Digestive issues:
- Abdominal pain
- Bloating
Diarrhoea
- Constipation
- Gas
- Indigestion
- Nutritional deficiencies
- Fatigue
- Headaches
- Cognitive symptoms:
- Confusion
- Difficulty concentrating
- Skin problems
- Food sensitivities
- Aches and pains
These symptoms are not unique to “leaky gut” and can overlap with other gastrointestinal disorders, therefore working with an experienced nutritional therapist can help determine the underlying cause of your symptoms, which may involve addressing any potential intestinal permeability issues as part of a comprehensive approach to gut health.
