Who can benefit from a GI-MAP comprehensive stool test?
GI-MAP comprehensive stool test can benefit a range of people, from those looking to optimise their overall health to individuals who have been struggling with chronic illnesses with or without a clear diagnosis. GI-MAP can be helpful for those who have:
- Chronic digestive issues such as gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, fatty or floating stools, and fullness after eating
- Autoimmune disease
- Gut disorders such as IBS or IBD
- Chronic and Acute Gastroenteritis
- Acid reflux
- Fungal or yeast infections
- Bacterial & parasitic infections
- Intestinal permeability
- Viral pathogens
What sample is needed to complete the GI-MAP test?
The GI-MAP is analysed from a single stool sample. Collection is easy: collect your stool and use the provided tools to gather some of it into a specimen vial. This vial is then sent back to the lab via the provided, prepaid envelope and is analysed. Once the results are ready, I will share them with you by email.
Can infants and children benefit from the GI-MAP?
Yes. GI-MAP can be used in children and infants from the age of 2.
Postage and shipping
The price of the test includes postage to a UK address and return shipping to the UK hub, which will then ship your sample to the lab in the USA for analysis.
For shipping to Europe, please get in touch for prices.
Please remember that the sample needs to be submitted to the lab within 6 months of purchase, or a kit replacement fee of £25 will be charged if this timeframe is exceeded. Please refer to Terms & Conditions, points 9 and 10.
What to be aware of before collecting the sample?
The GI MAP stool test kit will come with full instructions, but there are a few things to be aware of beforehand.

- The sample must be shipped within 24 hours of collection.
- A prepaid UK courier return label is included with your test kit. Please follow the instructions to book your courier.
What happens when your results are ready?
Your sample analysis typically takes about 21 working days (excluding transit to the USA). Once the results are ready, I’ll be notified and will email them to you in the format seen in the sample report.
Please note that the price of the GI-MAP test does not include a consultation. For accurate interpretation, your results should be considered alongside your symptoms, medications, diet, and lifestyle.
When you purchase the GI-MAP, you’ll have the option at checkout to add a consultation with me for £180. During this session, we’ll review your results together and discuss your symptoms, lifestyle, and diet in detail. I will then provide you with personalised recommendations tailored to your unique circumstances.
